What are your thoughts on Highland Park Senior Pictures?

Springtime is fickle in Dallas. It’s fickle in the entire state of Texas if we’re being honest. Which poses a conundrum to photographers who shoot on location in natural light. When there’s no natural light, there’s no photo shoot. Thankfully we were able to shoot Alana’s Highland Park Senior Portraits.

On a short respite from the rain last Spring, we were able to squeeze in Alana’s senior portrait session at Davis Park. Alana was a part of my Class of 2015 Senior Model Team and has always brought a light to every shoot she’s been a part of. She is kind, sweet, smart, and funny.

In fact, she is a total trooper as she came to photo shoot with a walking cast on her foot! She had broken her foot, but did not want to miss out on a group photo shoot that she came anyway. The photo shoot happened the day after the rain…and silly me didn’t think about what happens when rain hits dirt….mud! This sweet girl trudged through the mud in her foot cast. She wins best sport, for sure!

Alana envisioned a natural setting for her senior portraits, so we went out to Davis Park in Highland Park in the middle of Dallas. It’s the perfect setting for greenery that’s hidden away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It’s a quiet space for Highland Park Senior Portraits.

Sun-filled senior portraits are my favorite. You can make the light do this, but when you luck out and it’s a sunny day and the sun begins the set, the backlit photos just come to life. It’s beautiful and if I could photograph sun-filled senior portraits every day, I would. Davis Park is the perfect location for Highland Park Senior Portraits.

Accessories such as hats are the perfect complement to your outfit. It’s great because you can get two looks out of one outfit simply by modifying your accessories.

Alana is now attending the University of Southern California and is a part of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
