The best time of year for outdoor headshots in DFW
Now, if you know anything about Dallas, it’s that it’s hot in the summer. In other places in the country, it’s bearable to be outdoors in the summer. But, not in Dallas. At least not between the end of June and the end of September. So, if you’re looking to take your headshots outdoors in Dallas, then I recommend that you do that between October and May.
I mean, if you don’t mind being hot and sweaty, then go for an outdoor headshot in Dallas in the summer. However, I prefer my clients to stay comfortable and not suffer in the heat. So, if you’re looking for a professional opinion about when to take outdoor headshots in DFW, do it any other time than the summer!
Winter can be unpredictable as well and if it’s especially cold, you’ll need to bundle up. If you don’t mind bundling up in the winter, that could be a good time for an outdoor headshot. Although, the best times (minus the crazy spring thunderstorms) are Spring and Fall.
This is one of the reasons that I photograph the majority of my clients indoors. We don’t have to worry about the weather!
