Personal branding photography could be the answer that you’re looking for.
Looking for more clients? Looking to connect with more ideal clients?
Personal branding photography is the key to your ideal client falling in love with your brand.
You can stand out by properly positioning yourself.
Your ideal clients look to you as the expert in your field. Let’s capture your authentic self and position you as a leader. Your personal branding photos shouldn’t be cookie-cutter, run of the mill, “generic” photos of you sitting at your laptop. They should be as unique as your business. No two photoshoots are the same because no two business owners are the same. We design everything around you, your business and your ideal clients.
You deserve to show up and let your light shine.
Are you afraid?
Of growing your business? Of success?
You’re a boss in your business. But, let’s be honest. The thought of being in front of a camera and the center of attention is the last thing you want to do. You’d rather go to the dentist.
I get it. It can feel awkward. It can feel uncomfortable. And…what do you do with your hands!?
It feels vulnerable to pose for photos. Imposter syndrome rears its ugly head and any insecurities you have feel magnified.
This is why I put a special focus on helping you feel prepared and comfortable during your shoot.
What Is A Branding Shoot Like?
It’s actually way more fun than people think.
On the day of your photoshoot, I’ll coach you through every pose. I don’t expect you to know what to do, how to pose, or where to put your hands. That’s why I’m there!
During our consultation before your shoot, we’ll chat about all the details. From choosing a location, how to select props, your brand style, outfit planning, accessories, to makeup, hair, and nails so you feel prepared. We’ll also discuss any upcoming launches, whether it’s a new website, product, or service.
After our session, you’ll be able to choose your favorite images. Photographs that will position you as a leader in your field, help you connect with your dream customers, and set you up for growth. The purpose of these photos is to connect you with people and save you time.
You get one chance at a first impression. And when it’s online, you get like seven seconds. Crazy, I know. So let’s make sure it’s a good one.
Personal branding photography levels up a potential connection with a client. You can show anything from your personal style, your morning routine, your behind the scenes, your process, to how you work with a client in your photos. You can show that you are an expert in your field. It’s an opportunity to make a first impression before you even meet. It can be such a impactful tool to position business owners and entrepreneurs.
Business owners can also use their photos to tell their story and build relationships with potential clients. Content marketing is simple when you have images to work with to educate your clients on what you do. receive the images you need. My goal is to make it simple and powerful for you to show off your business so that people remember you and your business.
What Is Personal Branding Photography?
It feels like a buzzword these days, right? You keep hearing people talking about it. But maybe you’re not really sure what it means. If you’re not sure what personal branding photography is, it’s photography for your personal brand. It’s so much more than a headshot.
What Is Personal Branding?
A Brand: Is A “Name, Term, Design, Symbol, Or Any Other Feature That Identifies One Seller’s Good Or Service As Distinct From Those Of Other Sellers” (American Marketing Association)
Brand Examples: Nike, Starbucks, Louis Vuitton, American Express
A Personal Brand: is a culmination of ideas, values, skills, personality and feelings associated with a person.
Personal Branding Examples: Oprah, Joanna Gaines, Marie Forleo, Amy Porterfield, Jasmine Star, Nicole Walters.
I like to think of it like brands are the household brands we’re all familiar with. Personal brands are the household names we’re all familiar with.
Why Is Personal Branding Photography Important?
Big brands pour tons of money and effort into creating a brand that people fall in love with. Just think about SuperBowl commercials.
You don’t have to be Starbucks. Or Gucci. Or Tesla.
With a personal brand, by being yourself, you’re already one of a kind. You can stand out from the crowd because there is only one you. That’s why it’s important to make your photography personal. Say goodbye to generic stock photos on your website!
When you’re passionate about your work and the audience you serve, you’re already relatable to the people you want to work with.
You are the face of your business. It’s true, whether you hide behind your business name or not. By being the face of your business, you humanize the products and services you sell.
Benefits of marketing with personal branding photos:
- Set yourself apart from the competition
- Build an audience that connects with you
- Enables you to have meaningful interactions with leads
- Build trust and credibility
- Increased engagement on social media
- Better content – no more generic stock photos!
- An elevated first impression
- Be top of mind when people are ready for your product/service
- Position yourself as the expert
How Can Brand Photos Help My Business?
Content is king. At least that’s what people say. If that’s the case, then personal branding photos are the cherry on top when it comes to content creation. Studies show that adding a photo to words, ads or your website Increases Click Through Rates By 42%. Your viewers are more likely to stop their social media scroll when they see images included. And that’s not taking the quality of the images into consideration.
If you want to be seen in 2022, you need to be using images everywhere. Custom photos show what it’s like to work with you to your leads. Whether you want to project a fun-loving personality or more serious, buttoned-up vibe. With one branding photography shoot, you could improve all your points of contact with your audience. From your email signature, website, landing pages, ads, and marketing materials.
How Do We Plan A Session?
After booking your personal branding photoshoot, we will have a dedicated time to plan your session. We’ll discuss your photo needs. Where do you need photos? Your website? Social media? Landing pages? Ads? Think about your business and marketing goals.
I’ll make recommendations on styling, props and wardrobe based on your desired goals. Brand photos should serve your business. Each photo for your personal branding shoot is intentional and created with purpose.
What Would We Shoot?
We’ll start with a questionnaire to get clear on your story. We want to make sure that your brand photos connect with your audience. Depending on your business, whether it’s product or service based, we’ll capture a good variety. We will shoot your products and services, tools of the trade, favorite items, you in action doing what you do best, behind the scenes, and more.
A huge part of personal branding photography is just that – it’s personal. We’ll brainstorm what sorts of props you should bring. You may want to bring props that will allow you to tell a story. We want you to have months worth of beautiful images full of your company’s stories. Your portraits should show details that breathe life into your business and website. We have a planning meeting where we discuss potential ideas for your sessions.
Planning your shoot is the key to a successful shoot
Planning is key for personal branding photoshoots. It’s also important to find the right photographer. Find someone that will show you the process so that it’s easy to capture the right image for your business. Plan photos for your business with your ideal client in mind.
If you’re getting started in business and are not sure how to use the pictures or what pictures you need, I can help. I have a plan for taking a variety of images that you may want as well as photos of you doing what you do best. The point is to make sure you present as the expert!
Where Do You Offer Personal Branding Photoshoots?
My home base is Dallas, Texas and I photograph personal branding clients in Frisco, Prosper, McKinney, Plano, Allen, Celina, Little Elm, Addison, Dallas and surrounding areas.
Travel is also definitely an option. I have photographed clients in San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, New York City, Savannah, Miami, Washington, DC, and Phoenix. Please contact me for travel information to find out more.
Commercial Use Of Personal Branding Photos
Once you receive your images, you are the owner of a commercial use license. I differ from lots of photographers and photography services. I don’t request use credit for your branding photos unless the image is published outside of your assets (you know like if you get that feature in Forbes! or Magnolia!).
The goal is to help small business owners convert traffic into leads and leads into paying clients. In fact, you are able to edit photos to match your branding and marketing. If you go to a generic portrait photographer, I’m willing to wager they wouldn’t let you edit your images. The only restriction is that you cannot give the images or sell them. My clients have used their photos on websites, book covers, ads, magazines, press releases and their business page.
Is A Personal Branding Session Right For Me?
If you’re a business owner and know it’s time to take things in your business to a new level, then yes. High quality images communicate your value and the value your business offers. These photos help people and potential clients fall in love with you and your business. Your photos will be custom tailored to you. It’s truly one of a kind.
As the founder and lead photographer, my hope is to walk you through this experience so that you are comfortable showing up in photos. I want women to know that they can shine their light. That they can have an impact on the world. I want women to know that they don’t have to be afraid to show up. That they are the face of their business. The world is ready to see the boss behind the business.
