3. Choose your storylines
4. Identify the types of photos you need

First, you’ll want to define the your blog’s brand. Who are you speaking to in your posts? What type of person are you wanting to attract to your blog?

Second, you’ll want to choose your brand words if you don’t have any yet. Consider your brand words as the type of feeling you want a reader to feel. Maybe it’s welcoming, warm, and helpful. Maybe it’s sophisticated, stylish, and shopping aficionado.

Next, choose some storylines that you’d like your photographer to shoot for you. What are storylines? Well, as a blogger, you probably write about a variety of topics. Perhaps it’s travel, shopping, and restaurant reviews. You may have your photographer take photos of you shopping, with a suitcase, and at a favorite restaurant.

Finally, look at your photos and see what types of photos you need. Are there any gaps in your content? Are you launching any products that you need promo photos for? Do you have a current headshot? Do you need “stock” photos you can use for your social media content?
