It’s that time of year again. It’s time for fall and holiday mini sessions!
I’ve been talking to a lot of business owners who are also parents and many of them have told me that it’s been a while since they’ve had family photos taken.
Like, their kid is now in 8th grade and the last time they had photos was when that kid was in Kindergarten. Oops! I know, life gets SO BUSY and sometimes photos just fall off the radar.
But, I’d like to call your attention to why you may want to consider updating your family photos this fall.
Even as a photographer myself, I tend to be like the “cobbler’s children who had no shoes” and forget to prioritize family photos. However, whenever my parents or my in-laws come into town, I try to schedule a photoshoot, even if it’s just a quick 10 minute session.
Why Consider Holiday Mini Sessions
Photos will be the one thing you have left. My grandmother passed away in 2016, rather suddenly, and the only photos I have with her as an adult (besides photos from my wedding) were taken with an iPhone. While phones take great photos, I do wish I had something a little nicer. Nonetheless, I’m glad I have that photo.
I know, I know, I hate to take a grim turn, but it’s something most people don’t consider until it’s too late.
