Bluebonnet Senior Portraits, anyone? Tell me you’re Texan without telling me you’re Texan.
Ashley is one lucky girl. She requested a location with bluebonnets and wildflowers for her senior photoshoot, and if you know the seasonality of bluebonnets, she was really fortunate to have her wish met!
We found a great bluebonnet field in Grapevine, in the most unassuming location. It turned out to be a perfect day for senior photos, after several days of rain and overcast, gloomy skies. It was sunny, warm, and just about the perfect kind of weather.

I loved that Ashley brought along a floppy hat to complete her look. The hat added the extra bit of accessorizing that complemented her outfit.
Ashley graduated from Centennial High School in Frisco, where she was on the soccer team and participated in Young Life. She is going to the University of Texas – Austin – this Fall. Hook’em Horns!
As part of her mom’s special request, we recreated a photo from when Ashley was in Kindergarten, in a very similar shirt. It’s a great milestone photo to compare kindergarten to twelfth grade!
Are you ready to book your own Bluebonnet Senior Portraits? The best time and best chance to catch the bluebonnets is from March through May. It’s a small window, but when you have good luck, it makes for an awesome session.
Bluebonnets are the Texas state flower and Texans love taking photos in the Bluebonnets. As a Texas transplant, I never understood the appeal, but they are beautiful flowers when in bloom. So take advantage when you can!
