Next up we have Emily! It’s always so fun to have Emily in front of my camera. She is such a natural! I met Emily last Fall when I had a fun Fall Editorial shoot. Emily is my favorite Canadian transplant. And of course when I found out that she is Canadian, I referenced Degrassi. Turns out, she lived not too far from where it is filmed. Yes, I sometimes watch Degrassi. Haha.
Emily is a senior at Carroll Senior High School in Southlake. She’s got some fun travel plans for the summer, including a trip back to Canada and possibly India. Oh, Emily, you are always a joy to photograph, I can’t wait to do it again for your real senior session! We went to Grapevine Lake for Emily’s shoot, and the weather and the light was perfect. Southlake Senior Portraits
Since Dallas is in North Texas, it’s also pretty much landlocked. While we do have some lakes in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, we don’t have any coasts. We don’t have the ocean. The closest that we come to having a beach is along the shore of the lake, such as Lake Grapevine. There’s a small stretch of coast on Lake Grapevine that kind of feels like the beach. This is the look we were able to achieve. Although, it is one of my dreams and goals to have a shoot at the beach…either in California or Florida…or even Hawaii! I guess this will have to do for Texas.
