Meet Dr. Bianca Yturralde of Mobile Point Acupuncture. Dr. Yturralde was actually a client of mine who came to me in January for new photos for her new mobile acupuncture business. She has been in the acupuncture practice for many years and has launched a new service where she can come to her clients.
Can you tell us about your journey as a female entrepreneur and what inspired you to start your business?
The journey as a female entrepreneur has been challenging because as women we have so many paradigms to overcome in regard to our roles a woman and what we can accomplish. I took the vision of Mobile Point Acupuncture and have nurtured it with attention just as I would a small child to help it grow and evolve.
The challenge was stepping into the masculine part of my being and not caring what people would think or say. Maintaining the balance of “being” and “doing” within the growth of Mobile Point Acupuncture has been refreshing and showing me valuable lessons as a practitioner and as a woman.
What is your business? What sets your business apart from others in your industry?
I have a mobile acupuncture practice that brings acupuncture to your home. I make acupuncture convenient and easily accessible especially for individuals who work from home and /or have a busy schedule and don’t have the time to commute and get to a clinic.
I also serve the individuals who aren’t mobile enough themselves to have access to acupuncture, who are health challenged and may not have the resources to get treated.
How do you define success? What does “success” look like for you?
I would define success as being “authentically happy” with who you are as an individual and your capability to share that with the community in a positive way.
What are some lessons you’ve learned along the way that have helped shape your business?
A lesson I have learned is to trust the vision of the business and know that there will be ways in which it evolves into something better and bigger than you had originally thought and to be open to evolve when your business evolves.
What advice would you give to other aspiring female entrepreneurs looking to start their own businesses?
Please take the risk on yourself and your dreams! You have this life to create whatever it is you desire and there are so many possibilities to experience. I also would take frequent inventory on everyday routines and mind-sets, sometimes those can be old and outdated, no longer serving who we are becoming.
What role does personal branding play in your business and how do you leverage it for growth?
It brings out your authenticity and gives the platform to showcase who you are and what you have to share with the world ! Use it to show the uniqueness of what you offer.
