Last week, I shared the first round of concept my branding team sent to me. Here you’ll be able to see the complete evolution of the process that helped us arrive at the final concept. The second and third options from the first concept were created after I sent a writing sample to my graphic designer.
I definitely was learning more towards the third option, but there was something not quite right about it yet. I highly recommend that you talk to your branding team and graphic designer and make sure that they ask you for all the feedback they need to get you where you want to go. I wrote a novel. Okay, maybe just an essay, but basically I just did a brain dump on each iteration they sent me.
By the final round (where I finally had to make a decision and commit!) they had totally nailed what I saw.
They sent me this awesome mood board which really helped me see and feel the mood.
a. french, vivid, unique,
b/c: joyous, celebratory warm,
d. fresh, clean, simple,
The descriptions of each mood board really helped me decide which color palette to go with. It’s was easily A – (french, vivid, unique,
It was a matter of choosing between these two final concepts. Once I saw the second one, I knew that it was IT.

I’m so thrilled to finally have a new look and new visual identity that really represents my business and myself. One of the greatest compliments I’ve received about my new brand (actually from multiple people whose opinion I really respect) was them saying, “It’s SO YOU!” I love that and know that all the homework and decisions were well worth the effort.
I know that I was totally worried that I would go through this process and then end up with something I only sort of liked, like the last time. But I believe that it is a testament to branding experts, that they can truly understand you and help you create a strategy and visual identity that best represents your target market and you.
Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing a post about the new direction for the wedding side of my business! I’m so excited about it!
Huge thanks to Irene, Miel, Dianne at An Otherwise Co. and Jennifer Montalvo the talented graphic designer! Thank you for really understanding me and my vision for my business and making it come to life!
Email me if you’d like to get working with these fantastic ladies!
