Last week, I started to talk about the new look of Catie Ronquillo Photography…it’s always weird to refer to yourself in the third person, but I’m going with it.
Through all the informal photography and business education that I have gathered over the last few years, one of the things that people often talked about was having “branding” words. Words that you could use to see if anything and everything going out in the world from your brand is in line. I struggled with this. For years. (Ok, “years” sounds like a century, but it might have well been that long!)
One of the things I absolutely loved about working with Otherwise is that they helped me come up with my words, in what they called Tone & Manner for the brand.
They also assembled a mood board for my business, based on their findings and field study.
This board served to give inspiration and a roadmap for designer who presented these initial concepts:
From this point, I had to choose a concept direction. I gave the team tons of feedback, thoughts, and opinions about which way to go. Ultimately, I could only choose on direction.
Can you guess where my final logo concept came from?
Stay tuned for the final installment of the rebranding process!
