My general advice for solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, and individuals looking at booking a brand photography shoot is this:
If you have a team, brand photography is great for your business too. It’s a great opportunity to incorporate headshots, team photos, action shots like performing services or consultations, products, and more.
For team photoshoots, I highly recommend booking a half day shoot. This will vary from photographer to photographer, but for me a half day shoot is 3 hours. Give yourself and your team enough time to get the essentials. You can always add on more time if needed.
You do your research or ask for referrals from friends and colleagues. Check out their websites for their style and their personality. Any good brand photographer will be growing a personal brand so you should be able to get an idea of their personality from their website. Inquire. Set up a call to get a good feeling from the photographer. See if they have processes in place that takes you from start to finish. If they do not have any planning as part of their process — that’s a RED FLAG.
Once you have invested in brand photography, it’s important to make the most of the images you receive.
