The Brand Photographer Intensive

For photographers who already know how to shoot — and are ready to learn how to think strategically about brand photography, build a real portfolio, and book the clients they actually want.

DateTBD — 2025

Seats10–12 only

You know how to use a camera.
Now let’s make it work.

This is not a beginner photography workshop. You already have the technical foundation. What you’re missing is the strategic layer — and the portfolio that proves you can deliver it.

01
You’re new to brand photography specifically

You’ve shot weddings, families, seniors — or some combination. You’re pivoting into personal branding and don’t have the portfolio to show for it yet.

02
Leads ask to see your work — and you cringe

You can do the work. You just don’t have the images to prove it. Every inquiry that slips away is a confidence hit you don’t need.

03
You don’t know how to plan a brand session strategically

Showing up with a camera and shooting isn’t the same as building a story. You want to understand shot lists, creative briefs, and the intention behind each image.

04
You want leads to find you — not just follow you

SEO isn’t optional. You’re ready to understand how to show up in search results for brand photographers in your city and start building long-term organic leads.

Two days. Strategy first,
portfolio second.

Day one is the classroom. Day two is the camera. Both matter equally — because a beautiful portfolio without strategy behind it is just pretty pictures.

Four clients. Four stories.
One weekend.

The entrepreneurs you’ll photograph are real business owners who need real photos. You’re not staging a fake shoot — you’re building a portfolio from an actual client experience.

01
Online Business

Coach, consultant, or course creator. Laptop-forward, lifestyle-heavy. The most common personal brand client — and the one you’ll book most.

02
1:1 Service Provider

OBM, copywriter, designer, strategist. Process-forward and deeply personal. Teaches you how to photograph the invisible — expertise and relationship.

03
Product Business

Flat lays, lifestyle product shots, packaging. Teaches you a completely different visual language — one your portfolio likely doesn’t have yet.

04
Brick & Mortar / Maker

Boutique owner, florist, studio, creative. Architectural and environmental shooting practice — the visual range that separates beginner portfolios from working ones.

Everything you need to
start booking.

Fresh headshots + brand photos of you

Updated photos you can actually use for your own website, social media, and marketing — not the same headshot you’ve had for three years.

A portfolio featuring 4 distinct client types

The visual range that answers the “can you shoot my kind of business?” question before leads even have to ask.

Catie’s creative brief template (editable)

The exact document she sends clients. Use it, customize it, make it yours.

Shot list framework + session planning system

A repeatable planning process so every session has direction — not just vibes.

5–7 blog outlines ready to write and publish

Blog posts that target the exact searches your future clients are making right now.

Meet Catie

Catie Ronquillo, brand photographer and educator

I’ve been a photographer since 2010. I’ve shot weddings, high school seniors, and since 2019 — exclusively brand photography for female entrepreneurs. Which means I’ve had a front-row seat to what actually converts leads into booked clients and what doesn’t.

The thing most brand photographer education gets wrong is treating it like a creative genre instead of a strategy discipline. Your clients aren’t hiring you to make beautiful photos. They’re hiring you to make their business look like the business they’re building.

This intensive is me teaching you everything I wish someone had given me a framework for — so you can skip the years of figuring it out session by session.

  • 15+ years in photography, 6+ years exclusively in brand
  • Dallas based, with clients across the country
  • Strategy background: this is curriculum, not a vibe session
  • Annual format — with plans to expand to SF, NYC, Chicago, and Charleston

The stuff you’re
actually wondering.

You need to already know how to use your camera. This is not a photography basics workshop — we’re not covering aperture, shutter speed, or compositional fundamentals. You should be comfortable with your gear and capable of delivering solid images. What you’re here to learn is the strategy, the planning process, and the business side.
This intensive was designed specifically for photographers pivoting from other genres. Your existing skills are an asset — you just need the brand-specific layer. The strategic framework for planning, briefing, and shooting a brand session is what most genre-switchers are missing, and that’s exactly what we cover.
Your camera body and your preferred lenses. A laptop for the classroom day is helpful but not required. Bring something to take notes with — you’ll have a lot of them. Lunch is provided both days. Travel and accommodations are not included in the investment.
Yes — that’s the point of day two. You’ll photograph four real entrepreneurs across four business types. The images are yours to use on your website and in your marketing. You’ll also receive your own headshots and brand photos from the group shoot at the start of day two.
Not to be exclusive — to be intentional. With only 10–12 seats, the group dynamic matters. A short application helps ensure everyone in the room is at the right stage and ready to actually implement what they learn. It’s a 5-minute form, not an audition.
The plan is to run this annually in Dallas and expand to other markets — San Francisco, New York, Chicago, and Charleston are on the list. If you’re not in the Dallas area, get on the interest list and you’ll be the first to know when a location near you opens.

Ten seats.
One weekend.
Your portfolio.

The longer you wait to build your portfolio, the longer every inquiry stays a maybe. This weekend changes that.
