Last week, I took a trip out to Fort Worth to check out the Faces of Impressionism exhibit at the Kimbell Art Museum. I’m not a huge art buff, but I have a special place in my heart for Impressionism. All the art on display was on loan from the Musee D’Orsay, my favorite museum in Paris. Maybe it was the years of taking ballet or living in France for a few years. Either way, I knew that I wanted to check out the exhibit before it moved on to its next destination.
While I was in Fort Worth, I finally had the chance to check out Brewed, a super cute coffeehouse/gastropub. It has a great vibe that you can only understand if you spend a few hours here. The decor, the music, it’s just the perfect combination of hipster/quirky/artsy (those are all the same thing right?).
Pretty much everything they make in their kitchen is locally sourced and it’s delicious. I had a house salad (late lunch and I was starving) and it was delicious! The staff is also super friendly, which is always a plus. I’m in the the middle of doing the 24 Day Challenge, so while I really wanted to, I couldn’t have any coffee. I will definitely try some the next time that I go! And maybe a pastry. Or two.
The back patio looks great too. I imagine that on a warmer day (it was like 42 degrees when I went) the back tables are filled to the brim with people.
If you’re looking for a cool, laid-back place to hang out, meet a friend, or grab a bite, Brewed is a great choice. I will definitely be back.
