So, I think Texas still thinks it’s Fall. Or maybe Spring? And while I’m loving the mild weather, I’m also thinking about some cold weather outfit ideas. It is DECEMBER after all! Thankfully, because we have such mild (or erratic…) weather, photographing sessions into December isn’t a problem. Although, to be totally honest, I hope that there’s at least one good freeze this winter!
Cold Weather Outfit Ideas
This cold weather outfit collection includes a puffer vest, flannel shirt, jeans, and riding boots – a perfect outfit – casual, yet dressy enough for a portrait session.
My biggest advice for cold weather outfit ideas is to layer! Since the weather is so unpredictable here, it’s best to come prepared. Pairing a flannel shirt with a cute puffer vest make a great combination for a winter themed senior portrait session.Busting out your boots with skinny jeans and layering on top would make for wonderful, romantic engagement photos with your fiancé! (Even if it’s not that cold out…)
Accessories are also a great idea for any portrait session. I’m loving the style of the big, chunky watches, and wouldn’t mind one for Christmas! I found the super cute giraffe charm from Fossil, one of my favorite companies, paired with a necklace or charm bracelet, it makes for the perfect accessory. And who doesn’t love a good purse? While in most cases, it would not be included in your session, it’s the perfect way to carry everything in style.
While it’s currently not quite cold enough to take advantage of this outfit, hopefully by Christmas and New Year’s it will be!
