I went to a photography conference back in February out in Santa Barbara, California. And while most places are cold, wet, and miserable during the winter, Santa Barbara proves just the opposite. It was gorgeous outdoors, and I was SO excited to see the Pacific Ocean. It’s probably one of the things I miss most about not living in California anymore.

Madison was one of our beautiful senior models we had the chance to photograph the day before the conference got started. I’m so glad I had a chance to get some photos in Santa Barbara. It’s one of those places I definitely want to go back and visit.

I loved the patch of lavender what was planted on the Fess Parker Hotel grounds. It provided just the right amount of color and interest. And who doesn’t love the palm trees in the background?
