I don’t know why it comes at any surprise, but the speed at which time passes just gets faster and faster. I don’t know how we are already nine weeks into the new year. Can we even call it a new year anymore? And it’s a leap year….and today is Leap Day.
Taking on this project has been really interesting and introspective in a way that I didn’t really expect when I started it. I have always wanted to take on a journaling challenge of some sort, but I knew that if I had to write something every single day that I’d be more inclined to give up sooner than actually finishing. By taking on The 52 Lists Project, with a new list to create each week, I knew that it would be more approachable and completable….and even still, I’m a little bit behind!
List 9 – 52 Lists Project:
List the things you treasure the most.
- My husband
- My dog
- Our home
I’m very thankful to have been born and to live in the United States. I know and I am grateful for all the freedoms that we are able to exercise everyday. Perhaps it is that freedom that causes people to get worked up about every little thing. But we must remember that freedom is truly a gift and something that we cannot take for granted. There are so many people in the world who do not have the same freedom. We have the freedom to learn, to worship, to live where we wish, to love who we want, and speak out with different opinions from others. It’s what makes our country great. When we’re having a bad day, let’s not forget the overall picture that we actually have it pretty amazing.
