Ever considered Paradise Cove for Senior Pictures?
It’s been a running joke this year. That every time I schedule a photo shoot, the weather threatens to turn on me. Early in the day of Danielle’s shoot, it looked like it might rain. Danielle just graduated from Carroll Senior High School in Southlake and is headed to the University of Victoria in Canada in the Fall for a specialized environmental studies program. I loved this session at Paradise Cove in Southlake on Lake Grapevine, which is a favorite spot of Danielle’s, a place she often comes to for a peaceful getaway.
Paradise Cove is a beautiful spot for Southlake senior pictures.
I love photographing at the lake because it just has an overall feeling that it’s not necessarily Texas. When you live inland without a coast, the lake is a welcome sight!

Top Tips for Paradise Cove Senior Pictures
- It’s a bit of a hike out to the lake, so I would recommend bringing all your changes of clothes with you. It’ll be easier and take less time than walking back and forth from the parking lot.
- Bring a friend or your mom with you. It makes your experience that much easier with an extra set of hands.
- Create a Spotify playlist for your senior portrait session and bring a portable speaker. When you’re out in a “remote” area like Paradise Cove, having your favorite music brings a whole vibe to the session and makes it more fun.
