Happy New Year!
I love the clean slate that the new year brings. The ability to start over fresh. The promise of 365 new days (or 366 in 2016) to set intentions, accomplish goals, and work towards making what you desire come to life.
At the beginning of the year, I like having a project to start. Truth be told, I’ve tried the 30 day photo projects that have a daily theme – I’ll get through the first ten days or so then fall behind and find myself playing catch-up. I’ve also tried the 365 photo-a-day project, which was honestly way too much work to blog. So I did the first couple of weeks and then totally fell off the wagon.
I think success in these types of projects lies in how realistic it is to complete it. While a 365 project sounds cool, it takes more commitment than meets the eye. At least for me it did.
I stumbled upon the 52 Lists Project a couple of weeks ago and was intrigued. It’s a year of weekly journaling inspiration – prompts to create a list each week of the year. If you’re like me, you love creating lists! I write lists daily from my grocery list, to my to-do list, to my goal list, and all the other kinds of lists in between.

So I decided that for 2016, I will do the 52 List Project, and by sharing it here on the blog, I’ll be more accountable to this goal rather than just keeping it to myself. Plus, lists are fun and even better when you get to cross off an item (if it’s a goal or to-do list!)
