Luz is the perfect example of a total fashionista. She came to her session with literally a suitcase full of clothing, and an additional duffel bag full of shoes. She didn’t need much of my assistance putting together her outfits, though I knew that about her. She was a part of Team Seventeen and impressed us all with her fashion forward wardrobe.
Because she had a bunch of outfit choices, we went to both White Rock Lake and Deep Ellum for her senior portraits.
White Rock Lake is a great location for senior photos because it’s a HUGE park, there’s the lake, walking trails, bike trails, and docks. You can get a lot of different looks without going too far.
After we finished taking photos at White Rock Lake, we went to Deep Ellum which has a really cool urban vibe. There are so many new restaurants and if you go a few streets over from Main Street and Elm Street, it’s fairly easy to navigate without a ton of people.
I absolutely LOVED this outfit that she wore with a red/orange knitted headband. It was the perfect accessory for her look.
When it comes to your session, don’t hesitate to bring some fun accessories to complete your outfit.
And sunset shots are my absolute favorite. I love when the sun is just starting to set, and the light hits the back of your head. It brings about this beautiful glow.
This is the kind of light that you can only get when it’s sunny out. Unfortunately, when it’s overcast, you can’t get this same look. If you love photos that are sun-kissed and backlit like this one, it’ll have to be on a day when it’s sunny!
