If money was no object, you’d find me traveling all over the world.
Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines are on my short list of major international travel.
Europe is always on the list. I want to visit Croatia and see the beaches there, I’d like to go to Cinque Terre and the Amalfi Coast, I’d love to go back to Barcelona and explore more of Spain, I’d love to spend a month (or more!) in France, and well, the list goes on and on.
I’m super thankful for any opportunity to travel and this Fall I went to Miami for a photography conference called Conference 12. During the handful of days that we were together, we had several shoots. One of the shoots was at the Ancient Spanish Monastery in Miami.
The greenery in Miami was unreal. And with this high school senior model styled with a fun tropical look, it was perfect for Miami.
Destination Senior Photos
Travel is a passion of mine, and I’d love to incorporate more travel and destination senior portraits into my work. If you’re looking for a truly unique senior portrait shoot, the best way to stand out of the crowd is to take your shoot on the road. There are so many places that you could take your shoot.
Imagine a shoot like this one in Miami, where one part of the shoot focuses on the beautiful greenery and foliage of the area.
Then, we could take your shoot to the beach, and who doesn’t love the beach especially when you live in a landlocked area like North Texas?
Senior Portraits while Traveling
One way to make your senior portraits truly special is to have photos taken while traveling. Perhaps you have a family trip planned for your graduation. Book a photographer in that location (or hey, take me!) and capture this milestone while you are on vacation.
Your senior portraits will be truly one of a kind that way.
Finally, to really capture the flavor of Miami, imagine taking some photos in the streets of Miami with its Art Deco style of architecture. It’s a little bit retro, and a whole lot of style.

Destination Branding Portraits
While these photos were taken for senior portraits, branding photos can be taken at a destination spot as well. If you’re a travel writer, travel blogger, or travel advisor, it would be amazing to bring along a photographer to capture details of the destination. Furthermore, you could have customized photos of your favorite spots without having to worry about an “Instagram husband” or “Instagram Boyfriend” to take the photos for you.
